Modified Roof
Modified bitumen roof systems are installed with the common torch method, asphalts or cold adhesives, comprised of a two-ply system applied in rolls. This type of roof has many benefits, including:
- Durability
- Weather resistance
- Easy to repair
- Factory-manufactured rolls are easier to install and ensure better quality control
- Flexibility (expands and contracts with weather)
TPO Roof
Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) is a single-ply reflective roofing membrane made from polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber polymerized together. This is a good option for warmer climates such as Alabama, as TPO membranes reflect UV radiation to keep the surface of the roof and the building cool. Not only does this reduce cooling costs, it also decreases the amount of carbon emissions.
EPDM Roof
EPDM is a durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane commonly used in low-slope buildings. Its two main ingredients — ethylene and propylene — are derived from oil and natural gas. It’s available in black and white and its thickness ranges between 45 and 60 mils.
Roof Coating
This is a monolithic, fully adhered, fluid applied roofing membrane with elastic properties that allows it to stretch and return to its original shape without damage. It’s very durable, weather resistant, flexible, highly reflective, and environmentally-friendly.
Metal Roof
Metal roofs are made of durable metal pieces or tiles characterized by high resistance, impermeability and longevity. It reflects heat away from the building, is lightweight, and comes in a variety of shapes, colors and types.
