The FORTIFIED Home program has three levels of designation:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
Each one builds upon the other. The Bronze level addresses the roof system, offering upgrades to reduce wind and water entering into the home. Insurance discounts can be between 25 and 35 percent, depending on your insurance carrier. The Silver level addresses windows, doors and attached structures, in addition to the roof system you get in the bronze level. The Gold level connects everything together, from the roof to the walls to the floors to the foundation so it acts together as one system – after the roof, windows and doors, and attached structures have all been addressed.
